Does a contractor lose control of its own records when it joins a customer network?
No. The contractor remains a separate organisation and evidence owner. The customer receives only the agreed, authorised information needed for the work relationship.
Can an independent operator use ONE for their own business and still connect to a transport company?
Yes. Their own ONE account can hold the business and worker history while the transport network receives scoped status for the work being performed under that network.
What if the contractor works for several customers?
The same business identity and current records can be reused across authorised relationships, while each customer or workplace still adds its own requirements.

THE PERSON CAN STAY ONE PERSON
A contractor's worker does not need a duplicate ONE identity to work with your organisation.
The active Organisation + Workplace + Task context controls what the person is doing and which records the action belongs to.
Connected Worker — A$20 / active person / organisation / 30 days.
Use when your organisation needs to actively manage ongoing work with that external person across one or more of your workplaces.
ONE Safety Access — A$5 / active worker/day.
Use for limited digital safety participation. Fair-Fit caps the same person/organisation relationship at A$20 in the applicable 30-day window.
The contractor can sponsor its people.
A bulk request can be approved for all or selected people. The payer does not gain ownership of the host's records or extra permissions.
Controlled safety information can still be sent.
An External/PDF Safety Pack provides transmission evidence, but not proof that every individual completed all readiness requirements.
DO NOT RE-KEY THE SUPPLIER’S PEOPLE
A contractor or supplier can provide its own roster and, where approved, sponsor its people’s digital connection.
ONE can match identities, flag duplicates, prepare workplace relationships and show the proposed sponsor/cost position before activation. If the work only requires released controlled information, use the External Safety Pack rather than creating paid individual digital access that is not needed.
