The ONE Digital Work Card is the portable front door to a controlled person identity and the current information that person is authorised to share.
Your work identity shouldn't restart at every gate.
ONE is designed around one Person/User identity and one login that can participate in multiple authorised organisation and workplace relationships. The selected task, invitation or QR code opens the correct context without exposing unrelated work.
Your ONE login and Work Profile connect the website and ONE. Open ONE on your phone, tablet or computer; your authorised Organisation relationships determine which work and records you can access. See how to open ONE →
A person should not have to rebuild their work identity every time they walk through a new gate.
Workers and contractors repeatedly provide the same identity, licence, training and competency details to different businesses, even when the information is still current.
The person or their authorised home organisation can share the relevant current status. The new workplace still adds its own site, task, induction, permit or authorisation requirements.
Show what matters. Keep the rest private.
The card is not a universal “compliance passport” or automatic authority to work. It is a controlled front door to current identity and work-readiness information.
Reuse what remains current. Add what is specific to the new work.
- Identity and contact details
- Licence / qualification status
- Training and competency evidence
- Selected employment / contractor relationships
- Verified records and expiry dates
- New workplace induction
- Client / workplace requirements
- Task-specific controls and permits
- Plant / site conditions
- Current authorisation and Work Clearance
One controlled identity can remove repeated administration across the labour market.
Workers, contractors and independent operators should not need a new profile every time they move between authorised ONE organisations. ONE can keep the identity stable while each work relationship remains scoped and auditable.
Questions about this part of ONE.
Open only the question that matters to you.
Is the Digital Work Card a universal licence or compliance passport?
No. It is a controlled way to present identity and authorised current status. A new workplace can still require its own induction, permits, task checks or verification.
Who decides what another organisation can see?
Sharing should be scoped to authorised need and relationship rules. The person and owning organisation should not have unrelated records exposed merely because the card exists.
What is the benefit for a worker or sole trader?
Current identity, licence, training or other reusable evidence can be presented without rebuilding the same profile every time, while new workplace requirements remain separate.
I still have another question. What should I do?
Use the green Ask ONE button or the full ONE FAQs first. Register Interest is for joining a ONE pathway, not routine product questions.
Your Solo business and someone else's work can sit behind the same identity — without becoming the same record.
- John has his own ONE Solo electrical business.
- John is also connected to Contractor A, Contractor B and Contractor C.
- ONE opens the relevant Organisation + Workplace + Task context from the selected work.
- Contractor A does not automatically see John's work for B or C.
- Active context stays visible during signatures, acknowledgements and submissions.
- Sharing remains scoped to the relationship and authorised purpose.
One person. One reusable ONE identity. Different organisations stay separate.
The Digital Work Card can help ONE recognise the person and their portable profile, but scanning or matching the identity does not automatically grant workplace access, merge business records or create a paid connection. The active Organisation + Workplace + Task context and permissions still control what the person can do.
