HOW ONE WORKS

Start with the work. Let ONE work out what matters next.

Tell ONE what you are going to do. ONE uses what it already knows, works out the context that may matter, and asks only for what is genuinely still needed. Reusing current information is designed to reduce repeated questions and entry.

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Tell ONE what the work is. ONE helps work out what comes next.

YOU START WITH THE JOB

Describe the work in normal language. You should not have to know which module, form or safety document to choose before you begin.

ONE CONNECTS THE CONTEXT

ONE reuses current information, asks only what is needed, and connects the task with the people, workplace, plant, controls, permits, inductions and evidence that apply.

PEOPLE KEEP AUTHORITY

ONE can prepare, recommend and surface gaps. Authorised people still review, accept, clear and release work where those decisions are required.

THE EXPERIENCE SHOULD FEEL SMALLER THAN THE SYSTEM

ONE shows the next action. It does not make people navigate the whole safety system.

A sole trader can use one dashboard for work and authority. A team can distribute those actions across workers, supervisors, managers and authorised people. The evidence still records who acted, in what capacity, on which version and when.

MY WORK

What am I doing today?

Start New Work, current tasks, upcoming work, Work Clearance and active work.

NEEDS MY AUTHORITY

What needs my decision?

Review, acceptance, release, hazard response, permit authority or closure — only where that person holds the authority.

MY REQUIREMENTS

What must be current?

Licences, training, assessment, competency, inductions, permits, toolbox and expiries.

RECORDS

What can I prove later?

Released documents, versions, Work Clearance, permits, training, pre/post checks, evidence and close-out.

One person can wear several hats. ONE keeps the hats separate in the evidence trail without making the user manage them.

ONE CONTEXT INTELLIGENCE

ONE should work out the housekeeping before it asks you to do it.

Behind the simple Start Work experience, ONE can progressively identify the user, likely workplace, jurisdictional context, connected organisations, people relationships, inductions, permits, contacts and reusable records before asking what is still missing.

THE DESIGN RULEDerive before asking.

Reuse confirmed facts. Suggest probable context. Reconfirm what may have changed. Never invent a safety-critical fact.

TASK-FIRST

The task becomes the organising object.

The primary document is one projection of the controlled task facts — not the whole safety system.

01 · WORK INTENT

Describe the work.

“I’m replacing the damaged pump in the western plant room.” A person should not need to choose a module first.

02 · CONTEXT

Use what ONE already knows.

Person, role, workplace, plant, existing task knowledge, competency, induction and other authorised current information.

03 · MINIMUM QUESTIONS

Ask only what changes the pathway.

For example: “Will electrical power need to be isolated?” rather than repeating facts already known.

04 · REQUIREMENTS

Connect the prerequisites.

Documents, permits, inductions, training, competency, plant, critical controls, checks and evidence where applicable.

05 · OUTPUTS

Project one controlled work story.

Work document, worker view, the worker start sequence, pre-start, Work Clearance, active-work reporting, post-task, training, toolbox, sign-offs and supervisor inspection remain connected.

06 · AUTHORITY

Route the decision to people.

ONE shows what appears ready, missing or changed. The appropriate authorised person reviews and decides.

THE KNOWLEDGE ADVANTAGE

Tell ONE once. Reuse what your business already knows.

Repeat work should increasingly ask “What’s different here?” rather than rebuilding everything from zero. Current facts can be reused while changed workplace, person, plant, permit or condition information is rechecked.

THE WHOLE READINESS PICTUREThe work document is only one part of being ready.

The applicable pathway may be a SWMS, JSA/JHA, SOP, Work Instruction or another controlled local process depending on the work and jurisdiction. Readiness can also depend on people, competency, inductions, permits, plant, pre-starts, critical controls, current evidence and authorised Work Clearance.

See Work Clearance
THE LOOP CONTINUES

ONE does not stop when the worker is told how to do the job.

The worker reviews the released task, chooses I'm ready to begin, completes the relevant pre-start, reaches the applicable Work Clearance decision and only then receives Start work. The same task can then capture hazards and changes during work, record Work complete, and drive post-task and permit close-out.

REQUEST → READY → WORK → COMPLETE → CLOSESee the end-to-end task lifecycle.

Understand how the work remains connected from inception through final close-out and evidence.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about this part of ONE.

Open only the question that matters to you.

What does someone have to tell ONE?

Start with the task and the workplace context ONE does not already know. The design goal is to reuse current information and ask only what is missing or different.

Does every task get the same questionnaire?

No. Questions should branch from the actual work, people, plant, materials, workplace, jurisdiction and changed conditions.

Can AI approve or release the work?

No. AI can draft, compare and recommend. Organisational acceptance, release and other consequential authority remain controlled human actions.

I still have another question. What should I do?

Use the green Ask ONE button or the full ONE FAQs first. Register Interest is for joining a ONE pathway, not routine product questions.

INTELLIGENT ONBOARDING

ONE should derive before it asks.

ONE progressively learns the organisation, jurisdictions, workplaces and job sites, connected organisations, people, contacts, recurring work, inductions, permits and authorised answers that can be safely reused.

UNKNOWN stays visible. Safety-critical facts are not guessed simply to make onboarding shorter.
